Haling from Conneticut, Mop Top Mike Markeschich has been collecting 45's since the early spring of 1976, just before becoming a true 'teenage' outcast ( well, for his musical tastes which were out of synch with the times ).

Mop Top Mike loves to tote a pile of danceable 45s to venues on both coasts; San Francisco at the famed " Diabolik' 60's nights and in LA guesting on the decks as part of the Club Au Go Go dance bashes. Mop Top's tastes have not changed since those golden days of finding cool obscure 45s for under $1. He digs nearly anything from the 60's ; garage, Eurobeat, surf, pop but especially 60's soul.
In NYC, he has spun at numerous Subway soul Clubs and he tells us it's still his 'fave shindig for spinning 100% soul sounds'. How nice!
You'll hear a palatable cross section whenever Mop Top gets behind the decks; classic northern soul stompers, both familiar and obscure, lucious mid-tempo grooves, perfect for shuffling along to the beat, and gritty R&B hip-shakers guaranteed to get the dancers movin'.
